Sponsored by the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Education, Justice and the White House, the event took place at the Department of Commerce. Susan Mazrui from Cingular Wireless introduce the film and set the context for its viewing.

Screening of "Freedom Machines"
Legion Arts will host a screening of "Freedom Machines" on September 9th at 8pm. Partner organizations include the New Voters Project, along with area high schools and colleges. The event is open to the public and 60 people are expected to attend. The purpose of the screening is to provide an artistically engaging experience, which can be used as a springboard to initiate a dialogue around the themes of the film.
***This facility has a seat lift but no wheelchair lift***

Screening and discussion of "Freedom Machines"
WIPR and the Department of Education will show "Freedom Machines." Beginning at 9:30am, the event will be a private screening with approximately 30 students from Vocational High School. After the screening, a small segment of WIPR’s local production, "Lineas de Fuga," will be presented, and participants will have the opportunity to take part in an open discussion related to the issues raised in the film.
